For Practitioners & Serious Students

The CT Training Cohort

Learn to practice Causation Therapy. Join the founding generation of a worldwide school of consciousness-based psychotherapy.

The Vision

A Worldwide School of Psychotherapy

Realization Psychology is the system Dr. Richards has developed over four decades. Causation Therapy is its core clinical method, and it is what this cohort certifies you to practice. Causation Therapy is not a technique. It is a complete methodology, a new branch of psychotherapy grounded in the soul's continuity across lifetimes, the mechanics of karmic patterns, and the precise clinical process of resolving them in full consciousness.

The CT Training Cohort is the path through which this methodology is being passed to the next generation of practitioners. Those who complete it are not simply learning a new tool; they are joining the founding community of a worldwide school.

Dr. Richards works with each cohort personally. This is not a recorded course or a self-study program. It is direct, supervised training with the founder — the only way to learn this work with the precision it requires.

Places are limited, and every applicant speaks with Dr. Richards personally. If this work calls to you, the first step is reaching out.

The Curriculum

Thirteen Modules, Three Phases

The training moves from theoretical foundation through clinical technique to independent practice. Each module combines self-paced study with live cohort sessions and supervised practice.

Phase One

Foundation

Module 1

The Psychodynamic Rationale

Why past-life work, in terms a conventional clinician can engage with. The invisible wound, the four levels of karmic experience, and appropriate case selection.

Module 2

The First Session Protocol

The full sequence of a first session: intake questions, contraindications, the museum induction, and first past-life access.

Module 3

The Clearing Process

How trauma actually discharges, and the precision the process requires. What separates clearing from insight, and why thoroughness matters more than speed.

Module 4

Karma and the Karmic Revelation

The law behind the work, and the moment in a session when a client sees the whole pattern for the first time.

Module 5

Challenging Client Presentations

Navigating the most common difficulties in the room: resistance, over-analysis, emotional flooding, and the client who comes to imagery slowly.

Phase Two

Clinical Depth

Module 6

The Museum — The Akashic Interface

The central navigational structure of the work: how to build it, how to use it, and how to return a client to it reliably.

Module 7

Physical Symptoms and Somatic Presentations

Working with pain, chronic conditions, and body-held material that traces to a specific past-life injury.

Module 8

Relationship Patterns and Soul Groups

Recurring relational dynamics, karmic debt and credit between souls, and the soul groups clients return with across lifetimes.

Module 9

The Facilitator's Inner State

Your own state as a clinical instrument. Neutrality, presence, and the practitioner self-work the method asks of you.

Module 10

Working with Current-Life Trauma

When the source is in this lifetime: childhood, prenatal, and birth material, and how it interacts with past-life origins.

Phase Three

Independent Practice

Module 11

Session Sequencing and Case Management

Structuring work across multiple sessions, deciding what to address first, and managing a case from intake to completion.

Module 12

Ethics and Scope of Practice

Contraindications, referral, informed consent, and the boundaries of what this method is and is not for.

Module 13

Integration and Continuing Development

Building the work into an existing practice, ongoing supervision, and continuing development after certification.

Who This Is For

Two Paths Into the Same Training

This training is open to licensed clinicians and to serious practitioners without clinical licensure. Everyone trains together, and everyone is certified the same way. What differs is not the training. It is the scope you practice within afterward.

A consulting room with two chairs in warm afternoon light

For licensed clinicians

Psychologists, therapists, counselors, and other licensed practitioners integrate Causation Therapy into an existing practice as an advanced modality.

You operate under your current professional scope and ethical code, with CT as one methodology among those you are trained in.

A quiet practice room with bookshelves and a floor lamp

For practitioners without clinical licensure

Causation Therapy is practiced as a complementary modality rather than as psychotherapy. This is a full and legitimate path, with clearly defined boundaries.

You work with clients who are psychologically stable, do not diagnose or treat mental health or physical conditions, maintain collaborative relationships with a client's other providers, and refer reliably when a presentation calls for it.

What the work asks of you

The same qualities matter on both paths, whatever credentials you bring to them.

  • You can stay present and grounded with strong emotionally charged material and client experiences
  • You are willing to go where the work leads with neutrality and objectivity, including into client material typically seen as painful or abusive
  • You have experienced Causation Therapy as a client, and know from the inside what you are asking of others
  • You will have completed The Self-Guided Journey, the one course prerequisite, by the time the cohort begins, so that cohort time goes to clinical practice rather than first principles

Admission

How Admission Works

Places are limited and admission is by conversation. Every applicant speaks with Dr. Richards personally before a place is offered.

Tuition, schedule and certification requirements are set out in full on the tuition and requirements page.

01

Before You Apply

Come having done the work yourself

Two to three Causation Therapy sessions as a client. Sessions you have already had count, whenever they were. The Self-Guided Journey is the one course prerequisite, and it needs to be finished before the cohort begins rather than before you apply.

02

Application

Submit your application

A written application covering your background, your existing practice, and what brings you to this work.

03

Conversation

Speak with Dr. Richards

A personal conversation, not an interview. It runs both ways: whether the training suits you, and whether you suit the training.

04

Placement

Cohort placement

Places are offered on readiness and fit rather than credentials alone, and the cohort is deliberately kept small.

From the Cohort

In a Trainee's Own Words

I have had the extraordinary privilege of training with Dr. Charles Richards in Causation Therapy. This experience has been profoundly transformative, not only for my professional and personal development but also in witnessing the tangible healing it brings to those in need.

Causation Therapy, or Soul Realization Therapy as I like to call it, stands out offering an exceptionally ethical and surgically precise approach to healing invisible wounds. By addressing root causes, often traced back to past lives or prenatal experiences, it provides real, measurable results.

Dr. Richards' wisdom, expertise, and masterful teaching have been invaluable. His personalized guidance has allowed me to refine my skills as a therapist, empowering me to apply these techniques effectively and with confidence, facilitating profound healing in others. His dedication to this work is inspiring, and I feel honored to have learned from the best.

I am deeply grateful for this opportunity and wholeheartedly recommend Causation Therapy to practitioners who are seeking an effective and compassionate method for lasting healing.

The Next Cohort

Places Are Limited

Dr. Richards works with each cohort personally. Places are kept few so that every participant gets the depth of attention this training depends on.

The current cohort is enrolling practitioners in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Western Europe, and Australia. Causation Therapy is intended to reach practitioners, and through them clients, everywhere. If you practice outside these regions and this work calls to you, we welcome your inquiry: please write to us directly.
